Rail station modeller Peter Gornergratt has revealed which of the seven US rail stations will be the first to receive a major upgrade when it is completed in 2019.

It is expected that the station, called the Gateway of the Americas, will be among the largest of the 13 planned for the region.
It will include an expanded concourse, a new station entrance, a walkway to the west of the station entrance and a new, larger concourse for the train station itself.
It would also be one of the largest expansions of a railway in the history of the world, GornerGRAT said.
“The Gateway of America will be world-class.
It will be one in a thousand-fold larger than the Gateway station we are now,” he said.
The $1 billion project is one of five infrastructure projects that have been ordered by the federal government.
The other projects include a $3.3 billion expansion of the Washington-Baltimore-Newark metropolitan area; a $1.4 billion upgrade of the rail link between New York and Chicago; a project to widen a railroad bridge across the Mississippi River from Baltimore to Philadelphia; and a $500 million project that will build a new light rail station near Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr Gorner said it would take between 20 to 30 years to complete the Gateway project.
“We’re looking at 10 to 12 years,” he told ABC News.
“It’s really about the rail corridor, which is the main artery of the US.”
There is an opportunity for this to be one-of-a-kind.
“Mr Gorberg said that the project would have to be completed by 2027.”
For the Gateway, we are still talking about the same size, we’re talking about one-third of the capacity that the Gateway has now,” Mr Gorner GRAT said, adding that the rail route between New England and Canada would be significantly expanded.
The Gateway project is just one of many major infrastructure projects in the works in the country, including the construction of a massive water pipeline that will transport 1.3 million cubic metres of crude oil a day from the Gulf of Mexico to the Ohio River.
It also involves building a second rail line to connect with the proposed Dakota Access pipeline, which will bring crude oil from the North Dakota Bakken oil fields to the Gulf Coast.
